Starbucks Iced Shaken Espresso Review

Best Coffee Recipes · March 20, 2021 · 1 Comment

As of early March 2021, the iced shaken espresso is a new permanent menu item at all Starbucks locations, and rightly so! If you like the taste of espresso and desire a refreshing punch of caffeine on a hot summer day, this drink has all of that!

Here’s the warning.

Addicting…very addicting!

Starbucks Iced Shaken Espresso Review

Let’s face it, three shots of espresso is A LOT of caffeine for someone who doesn’t typically drink espresso or much caffeine. So keep that in mind before ordering this 225mg of caffeine energy booster. For those espresso junkies out there, this can solve all of your problems!

Iced Shaken Espresso Review

I prefer the bitterness and full taste of bold espresso on ice, so I could definitely do without the (4) sugar pumps used in the Grande size.  This drink starts with a great rush of espresso flavor and finishes with somewhat overpowering sweetness. There is something about the drink being charged with bubbles after being shaken. Shaking the drink really makes the texture and taste stand out from the crowd.

Ingredients and Nutrition Information

Size: Grande 16oz
Calories: 100

  • 2% Milk
  • 4 Pump (s) Classic Syrup
  • (3) Shots of Espresso
  • Ice

If you like flavoring, you can order this drink in an iced brown sugar oat-milk variety. Have you tried the Starbucks Iced Shaken Espresso? Let us know your experience below in the comments.

I’ve tried the Starbucks shaken iced espresso,it’s a much needed caffeine rush.Strong and creamy,I added in caramel syrup, because I love flavored iced coffee.Next time I’m going to customize it with caramel syrup and drizzle, with vanilla cold foam.I have three kids,so this drink should keep me going!
